The Crests and Throughs of Innovation

Charles Duell, a former commissioner of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, once said “Everything that can be invented has been invented”.  In a sense I believe he was correct.

Innovation seems to come in waves.  The crest of these ‘waves’ represents the creation of a new idea/product/practice that spurs a great social change such as the car, or the computer.  However, every crest is followed by the trough, which in this correlation represents the period after, or the period of perfection, as I will call it.

In a semi-trivial often over used example lets take the toaster.  This kitchen appliance has been around for the better part of four decades and when it arrived on store shelves it changed the way people saw bread.  The creation of this new counter-top accessory brought toast into the breakfast inventory and took this meal on the run.  As funny as it sounds on paper, the same is true with the iPad or with an e-commerce site.

Tablet computers and online shopping have been around for the better part of a decade themselves and while their innovative spirit has become second nature the period of perfection is in full swing.  Sites including and especially Pricefalls are constantly creating ways to perfect and smooth out the online shopping experience.  The most under-utilized of these ways is by enhancing the customer-service experience.

As a practice and matter of professional pride, the Pricefalls Team understands this need and I invite you to purchase something from us and see just exactly what I mean.

Until next time buyers, sellers and friends!

Sincerely,

Josh *theLVD Weaver

I hardly believe this is an era of perfection with things like complicated web sites, poor customer service and inflated shipping costs!

I completely agree! That is why Pricefalls is ahead of the curve in the customer service realm in the sense that while we are working on the site itself, customer service is one of our main focuses!
